AKRacing has been manufacturing quality gaming chairs for years, and the AKRacing K7012 is no exception. A vibrant and great looking combination of blue and black makes the chair visually pleasing. Constructed using a durable steel frame and strong aluminium base, the cushioning is padded with moulded foam with the chair finished in great quality fabric and armrests. With a reclining backrest, neck support and gas lift mechanism, the chair is suitable for hours or even days of gaming in comfort.

Ergonomic Design for Hardcore Gamers

The AKRacing K7012 has been designed with the gamer in mind. The seat is ergonomically designed to match the contours of the human body. Neck and lumbar support cushions allow users to spend hours in the chair in comfort. Silent/floor friendly castors allow you to use the chair without worrying about waking the family up at night. The chair holds up to 150 kilograms, with the tilting back rest feature and gas lift allowing you to find the most comfortable position for your gaming.

The chair is simple to construct, taking only around 10 minutes using the instructions to build.

AKRacing K7012 offers a range of gaming chairs with design alternatives. You can spend a lot more money and get one of their higher spec chairs, but the AKRacing K7012 fulfils all of my needs for a great price. It is not an all-singing, all-dancing chair by any stretch of the imagination, but for a basic gaming chair, this one ticks all the right boxes. For a comfortable and adjustable chair, that looks great whilst also being unobtrusive, the AKRacing K7012 provides everything you need for a basic level gaming chair.

Design Alternatives & Original Accessories

The AKRacing K7012 is manufactured with a fabric covering. This is in comparison to many gaming chairs that are covered with leather. Much of it is down to personal preference when it comes to what covering you prefer. Whilst fabric is cheaper, I think it also looks better for longer. Leather can crack from heavy use of the chair, and if you have any pets – in particular, a cat that likes to sharpen his claws on your leather gaming chair – the leather can be easily damaged. The dark colours used in the chair are also less likely to show heavy wear or spills.

The armrests can feel quite hard after a little while. Sitting with my elbows on the armrests for a few hours whilst gaming resulted in them becoming red and sore to touch. Perhaps a little bit of padding on the armrests could have been incorporated to add to the comfort of the chair.

Although it doesn’t have as many features as some of the more premium gaming chairs, the AKRacing K7012 gives you a good bang for your buck. For its price, it is a comfortable and great looking chair that can enhance your gaming experience, especially if you play for long periods of time. Being able to adjust the chair height and alter the backrest, in addition to the built in lumbar and neck support, you can sit for hours without fatigue kicking in, leaving you to enjoy your gaming experience.
